About UsChild Development Program provides quality child care in an environment rich in experiences that enhance the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of the children enrolled in our care. The CDCs use curriculum to support and challenge children’s growth and development with identifying themselves, interacting with others, thinking new thoughts, acquiring knowledge, communicating with others, and developing sensory control. All this is done through caring adults.
There are two facilities at Yokota, the Kibo on the Eastside and the Yume on the main base. These centers care for over 350 children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.
CDC Volunteer ProgramThe Child Development Center (CDC) is currently accepting applications for the CDC Volunteer Program. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children, require work experience, or would like outreach volunteer hours. Volunteers serve a wonderful role in child care settings by enriching children’s experiences through stories, art, music and movement activities. If interested, please contact Janet Evans at 225-8192 for an application packet and to schedule volunteer orientation training.
